Dhaka Bureau: In a few days, Bengalis will celebrate Bengali New Year 1431. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued 13 instructions on this occasion. These instructions were given in the meeting regarding law and order in the conference room of the ministry on Wednesday.
The instructions are:
The district administration, district police, and organizers will coordinate and ensure security at various events, including annual celebrations, Baisakhi fairs, sports, and cultural events across the country.
Special security, including sweeping, and a and a dog squad will be taken at important places, including Ramna Botmul, Ramna Park, Suhrawardy Udyan, Dhaka University, Hatirjheel, and Rabindra Sarobar. In these events, there will be special surveillance by the necessary forces of law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
Those who are trying to spread misinformation through social media, including Facebook, about Bengali New Year celebrations will be brought under the law.
Necessary security will be ensured at the Bangla Academy and BCIC Academy premises during the New Year Fair.
The ceremony at any place in the country, including Ramna Park, Suhrawardy Udyan, Dhaka University, Hatirjheel, and Rabindra Sarobar, must be completed by 6 p.m..
Law and order forces should have their own security system during the New Year celebrations. Its own voluntary and law enforcement forces will coordinate and provide security.
Special security will be provided in important areas and installations, including diplomatic areas, in the New Year.
Fire service teams with firefighting vehicles and ambulances will be present at important points during the New Year celebrations in Dhaka city and countrywide events. There will also be a medical team.
Mobile courts and intelligence forces will be engaged to prevent any kind of unpleasant incident, including eve-teasing, robbery, and pickpocketing, during the New Year celebrations.
Vuvujela bansi cannot be played during the New Year ceremony.
High-qquality food will be served, and cultural programs will be organized in the prisons of the country during the New Year.
No kind of lantern or firecracker can be lit.
Measures will be taken to prevent drug abuse during the Bengali New Year.
