Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: BGB has seized crystal meth ice worth Tk 7.5 crore from Ramu in Cox’s Bazar. The drugs were seized by searching an autorickshaw in the Gwalia area of the upazila at around 3:30 p.m. today.
At this time, a young man named Helal Uddin (20) was arrested. He is the son of Mohammad Hossain of the Thaipalong area of Ukhia. BGB Ramu battalion captain Lt. Colonel Syed Wahiduzzaman Tanjid confirmed the matter.
Lt. Colonel Syed Wahiduzzaman said, based on intelligence information, a patrol team of BGB stopped a CNG-powered autorickshaw passing through the Morichya joint search check post in the Gwalia area and searched for a passenger. At this time, one and a half kg of crystal meth ice worth 7.52 million taka was seized from him. A case has been registered against the arrested person, and he has been handed over to the Ukhia police station.
