Dhaka Bureau: The meeting to review the implementation of the annual development program (ADP) of the Ministry of Industry for the fiscal year 2023–24 of March was held today at the conference room of the Ministry in Motijheel in the capital.
Industry Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun presided over the meeting, and Zakia Sultana, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, conducted the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that the implementation progress of the projects on the basis of project-based financial allocation until February 2024 is 31.59 percent, which is slightly more than the national progress (31.17 percent). In the financial year 2023–24, the total allocation for 26 projects, including three technical ones under the Ministry of Industry, is 2 thousand 823 crores and 12 lakhs. Among the allocated money, 2 thousand 202 crore 34 lakh rupees for GOB sector, project aid 8 crore 22 lakh rupees and self-financing 612 crore 56 lakh rupees.
In the meeting, the implementation plan of the projects undertaken by the Ministry of Industry in the current financial year, the achievement of monthly physical and financial targets, and the decisions taken were discussed in detail. Organization heads and project managers presented their respective project implementation plans and latest progress in the meeting.
The minister directed the project manager and those concerned to ensure the progress of the projects quickly while maintaining quality according to the work plan and completing the work on time. He emphasized close monitoring and teamwork in this regard. Project managers commit to completing the projects within the stipulated time.
The senior secretary of the Ministry of Industries gave instructions to complete the feasibility study of the new projects quickly and requested to ensure the presence of the concerned engineers of the Public Works Department in the ADP review meeting.
BCIC, BSIC, BSEC, BSTI, BSFIC, BITAC, NPO, BIM, and other heads of various organizations under the Ministry of Industry participated in the meeting in person and as project managers online.
