Nagar Reporter: The owner of the ship has assured the family members of the MV Abdullah, held hostage by Somali pirates, that the sailors will be released soon.
Top officials of Kabir Group of Industries (KSRM) met the family members of the 23 sailors of the hostage ship in Chittagong on Saturday (March 23) afternoon. They also had Iftar together. They requested that the family members be patient until the sailors completed the rescue process successfully.
The mother of one of the hostage sailors present there said, “They (officials) requested us to be patient. They assured me that they were doing everything to free the sailors and bring them back safely.
Kabir Group media adviser Mizanul Islam said, “We are trying our best to bring back the hostage sailors safely.”
On March 12, from the Indian Ocean, Kabir group ship MV Abdullah with 23 sailors was taken hostage by Somali pirates. The ship is now off the coast of Somalia. Since the incident, the greatest concern has been the family members of the hostage sailors. The day after the incident, the family members of the hostage sailors met the owners separately. But for the first time, the owner assured them by calling all the family members of the hostage sailors together.
