Dhaka Bureau: Primary and Mass Education Secretary Farid Ahmed said that there will be no exams like the first and second periods from now on, from the first to the third class.
He gave this information at a press conference organized by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Thursday (March 21).
Farid Ahmed said, in light of the new curriculum, there will be no exams like the first and second term from now until the third grade. However, continuous evaluation will continue. But it is not as traditional as before.
Last year, the new curriculum was implemented in classes I, VI, and VII. This year, it has started in the second, third, eighth, and ninth grades. After that, the new curriculum will be introduced in 5th and 10th grades in 2025, 11th in 2026, and 12th in 2027.
According to the latest annual report of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, there are currently 65,566 government primary schools. The number of students in these is 1 crore, 34 lakh, 84 thousand, 617 people. There are 3 lakh, 59 thousand, and 95 teachers.
