Salimullah’s house became the target of attack by non-Bengali Biharis and Pakistani troops on March 26, 1971, due to the flag flying. The whole house was burned, and Salim Ullah was shot dead.

Sadi Mohammad received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Rabindra Sangeet from Visva Bharati University. Although his main identity developed in Rabindra Sangeet, he was equally well known throughout the country in modern music. Many albums by Rabindra Sangeet have been released in his voice. With modern music. He was also working as the director of the cultural organization Ravirag.
In 2012, he was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by Channel I. He received the Rabindra Award from Bangla Academy in 2015.
