The incident took place on Friday (March 8) around 10:00 p.m. in the city’s Railgate Paschim Para area. The deceased Ramzan Ali is the son of Faiz Sheikh of the Railgate Paschim Para area. According to the police, Ramzan Sheikh is a notorious terrorist and drug dealer in Jessore. There are 25 cases against him, including murder, weapons, and explosives. Among them, there are 7 weapons cases, 5 explosive cases, 1 murder case, 1 robbery case, 4 attempted murder cases, and 7 other cases, including drugs.
The family members of the deceased Ramzan said that Ramzan Ali was walking in front of his house at around 10 p.m. yesterday. At that time, a person named Picchi Raja from the Chormara Dighi Par area cut him and ran away. Later, local people rescued him and took him to the emergency department of the hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Dr. Khandkar Rezwan Zaman, the doctor of the hospital’s emergency department, said that Ramzan was brought dead to the emergency department after 10 p.m. Ramzan Ali has stab wounds on his chest and back. The body has been kept at the hospital morgue for a post-mortem.
Popi, wife of the deceased, said that her husband Ramzan had been enmity with Picchi Raja for a long time. There was a dispute between them over the chicken farm. Due to this, this murder can happen.
Meanwhile, the locals said that the Ramzan Ali area of Railgate West Para was identified as a terrorist area. There are dozens of cases against him, including murder and drug use. He was arrested by the RAB on August 1, 2022. At that time, RAB identified him as a top terrorist. Ramzan was released on bail a few months ago. Immediately after discharge, he returned to his old profession.
