City Reporter: The Joy Bangla concert has started in Chittagong to commemorate the historic March 7 speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The concert started at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong at 3:30 pm on Thursday (March 7) with the performance of the popular band Tirandaj.
Thousands of young women entered the stadium long before the concert began. The concert will continue till midnight today. The concert will also feature Avoid Rafa, Nemesis, Chirkut, Meghdal, Lalon, Carnival, Artcell, and Cryptic Fate.
After archery, the carnival will take the stage. At last, at 10:35 p.m., the band Artcell will take the stage. Each band will perform for 45 minutes, respectively.
Earlier, this concert was organized seven times at Dhaka’s Army Stadium, but this time, it was organized outside Dhaka for the first time in Chittagong. The Joy Bangla Concert is regularly organized by Young Bangla, the youth platform of the Center for Research and Information (CRI), to connect the present generation with this historic day in the country.
