Dhaka Bureau: Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said that the work of preparing the list of Razakar is going on in two parts. One is actively working. He said this while talking to reporters after the second session of the third day of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Tuesday (March 5).
The Minister of Liberation War, A.K.M. Mozammel Haque, said that there is a lot of confusion and disagreement about these things now. So it’s a complicated matter. Still, a committee has been formed under the leadership of Shajahan Khan (former shipping minister). They are working. If that committee sends us the list, we will publish it.
Referring to the fact that a separate committee list was published for Razakar’s list, he said, “We tried to publish the official list.” Then it was seen that the names of many important people or people who were in favor of the war appeared on the list. Then the countrymen protested against it. But their names were on the record.
Regarding the instructions given by the DCs, the Minister of Liberation War Affairs said, ‘They (DCs) have been instructed to increase their supervision so that the work of the slaughterhouses, preservation of wartime historical places, and heroic residence for the brave freedom fighters is done properly. Besides, I have ordered that we give priority to the problems of the brave freedom fighters.
