Dhaka Bureau: Out of the 46 people who died in the fire in the building named Green Cozy Cottage on Bailey Road in the capital, 44 bodies have been handed over to their families.

The bodies of the two will be handed over to their relatives after DNA testing. Their bodies have been kept at the Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital morgue.

On Saturday, March 2, at noon, the officer in charge (inspector) of the DMK police camp. Bachchu Mia confirmed this information. He also said that the two bodies are still in the morgue. If identified through DNA testing, it will be handed over to the family.

According to eyewitness accounts, the fire started at a restaurant called Chier Chumuk on the ground floor of the building. Soon, the fire spread to the entire building. Just a month ago, the Chai Chumuk restaurant started its journey on the ground floor of the building.

According to the Capital Development Authority (RAJUK), the developer of the building named Green Cozy Cottage is Amin Mohammad Group. All floors of the building were being used commercially. However, there was no permission to use this building for a restaurant.
