Entertainment Desk: Nine people died, including ‘Panchayat 2’ famous actress Anchal Tiwari, in a car accident in Kaimur, Bihar, India.
According to various Indian media reports, a total of nine people died in the accident, including four rising stars of Bhojpuri films. The incident took place on Sunday evening on GT Road near Devkali village in the Mohania police station area.
Bhojpuri actress Anchal Tiwari, musician Chhotu Pandey, and eight others lost their lives on the spot in a collision between an SUV and a motorbike in Bihar’s Kaimur district, police said. A Bhojpuri actress named Simran Srivastava also died in the accident.
Mohania DSP Dilip Kumar said the dead were identified on Monday. Among them is Bhojpuri artist Bimalesh Pandey, alias Chhotu Pandey. Others killed were Anchal Tiwari, Simran Srivastava, Prakash Ram, Dadhibal Singh, Anu Pandey, Shashi Pandey, Satya Prakash Mishra, and Bagish Pandey.
An eyewitness at the scene said that eight people, including two women, were killed when a car first hit the motorcycle. Both the SUV and the bike then moved to the other lane, where a speeding truck hit them.
The truck driver fled from the spot after the accident. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed grief over the incident.
