Jhalkathi Representative: Jhalkathi’s Nalchiti motorcycle association president and Sramilig worker, Md. Imran Hossain Howladar (32) was hacked to death by miscreants. The incident took place on Saturday (February 24) at around 9 p.m. in Nalchiti Municipality’s Nandicathi area. Deceased Imran Hossain Municipal Khajuria area. Son of Rashid Howlader. The matter was confirmed by the officer-in-charge (OC) of Nalchiti police station. Murad Ali.
According to the locals, Imran was hacked by miscreants and left on the side of the road on Saturday night due to previous enmity. Later, he was rescued and taken to Nalchiti Upazila Health Complex, and the duty doctor sent him to Barisal Sher-i Bangla Medical College Hospital, where he died.
Mohammad Russell, elder brother of deceased Imran, said, “My cousin Alamin Howladar and 6-7 Ramdas could not bring my brother to the hospital in such a condition.” Imran just said that Alamin is angry with me.
Nalchiti Police Station OC Md. Murad Ali said, “I went to the spot after receiving the news. He died at the Barisal Sher Bangla Medical College Hospital. Check posts have been set up to arrest those involved in the incident. Police are patrolling the surrounding area. Those involved in the incident will be brought under the law. The family members of the deceased are in Barisal. They will actually file a case from there.
