Today is the holy Sabbath

The Crime Desk: Holy Shabbat will be celebrated today (February 25) with due religious dignity throughout the country. On the night of the 14th day of the month of Shaban of the Hijri year, Muslims observe their Shaba Barat, or the night of good fortune. This night is also known as Lailatul Barat. On the occasion of Holy Shabbat, President. Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave separate messages. On this occasion, next Monday (February 26) will be a public holiday.

President Md. Sahabuddin called upon the rich to stand by the helpless, poor, and distressed people of society in the coming holy month of Ramadan in view of rising inflation in the global economic crisis.

In a separate message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged everyone to devote themselves to the work of human welfare and nation-building, inspired by the greatness of the holy Shabarat.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Almighty Allah has given a unique status to the holy night of Shabbat. The worship of this night is better than the worship of a thousand months. Allah’s infinite mercy and blessings are showered on this night. We can gain closeness to Almighty Allah through worship on this holy night. I can achieve His infinite mercy, salvation, blessing, and forgiveness.

Nafal Namaz, Quran recitation, and waj mahfil will be held in homes and mosques on the night of Holy Shabbat.

On the occasion of Holy Shabbat 1445 Hijri, various programs, including Waj, Doa Mahfil, Recitation of the Holy Quran, Praise, and Naat, have been organized in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque by the initiative of the Islamic Foundation.

On this occasion, Khatib Hafez Maulana Mufti Mohammad Ruhul Amin of the National Mosque will give a sermon on “Virtues and Significance of Holy Shabbat” at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 6:40 PM. Besides, Muhtamim of Madaripur Jameatuch Sunnah Shivchar Hazrat Maulana Niamat Ullah Faridi and Khatib Shaikhul Hadis Mufti Nazrul Islam Qasemi of Shahzad Lane Jame Masjid in Badamtali, Dhaka, will also perform waj mahfil. The last prayer will be held at 5:30 a.m. Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Senior Imam Hafez Maulana Mufti will lead the prayer. Mizanur Rahman.

Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, and other private TV channels and radio stations will broadcast various religious programs on this occasion.

On this night, devout Muslims will be engaged in Nafal Namaz, Quran recitation, Zikir, Waj, and Milad Mahfil in the hope of gaining the mercy and closeness of Almighty Allah. Muslims will pray for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.
