The President and the Prime Minister laid wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar on Wednesday (February 21) at the first hour of Amar Ekushey February.
After placing the wreath at the martyr’s altar, the president and the prime minister stood in silence for a while. At this time, Amar Ekush’s timeless song ‘Amar Bhai’s blood-colored Ekushe February’ was played.
On the occasion of Amar Ekushe February, the entire Shaheed Minar area is decorated with colorful decorations. Paying respect to the memory of language martyrs, Alpana has been painted in the surrounding area, including the altar of Shaheed Minar. Quotes from famous poets and writers are written on the walls of the residential area of Shaheed Minar.
Keeping security in mind, the entire area has been covered by closed-circuit cameras, and watch towers have been installed. The route map prepared in the Dhaka University area has been implemented since this evening.
