Own Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going on a visit to Chittagong on December 4. On this day, he will address a large public meeting at the polo ground in the city. On one hand, the polo ground is being prepared around this public meeting. On the other hand, the entire city is covered with various banners, festoons, bouquets and placards to welcome the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s arrival, Chittagong City Corporation is working day and night to improve the city’s beauty along with repairing the broken roads.
On the surface, various areas of Chittagong city have been visited, everywhere different types of banner festoons are being put up in the name of the leaders and workers of Awami League and its affiliated organizations. Starting from Akhtaruzzamana flyover of Chittagong, banners, festoons and placards are being put up around various architectural styles of road islands, dividers, round squares, round squares.
It has been seen that on the one hand the city corporation is working day and night to increase the beauty, on the other hand the beauty of the city with its architecture is being covered with banner festoons.
Banner festoons are being put up to bring the names of the leaders and workers in the campaign around the entire polo ground including Bahddar Hat, Muradpur, Gate No. 2, GEC, Wasa, Lalkhan Bazar, Tiger Pass, Agrabad and Bandar Patenga in Chittagong city, starting from Oxygen intersection of Chittagong city.
The public relations department of Chittagong City Corporation informed that on the occasion of the public meeting of the Prime Minister, beautification work is going on at the important intersections of Chittagong city. Hundreds of workers are doing beautification work every day under 5 contractors in five zones. Every pillar including road dividers and flyovers in the city is being painted. Pictures of Prime Minister and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman are being hung at important junctions. At the same time arrangements are being made to display the government’s big mega projects and development images on LED screens.
