Narsingdi Correspondent: RAB was attacked in Raipura Upazila of Narsingdi during an anti-narcotics operation. Meanwhile, the attackers hacked a member of the RAB and took away the accused. The incident took place at Sonakandi village in Nilaksha Union of the upazila at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday (February 13).
Narsingdi Assistant Superintendent of Police (Raipura Circle) Afsan Al Alam confirmed the matter and told the media that the injured Imran Hossain (35) is a member of Narsingdi RAB-11. He was sent to Dhaka for first-aid treatment at Narsingdi Sadar Hospital. Fugitive Yunus Ali (40) is a resident of Sonakandi village.
About the locals, Assistant Superintendent of Police Afsan also said that the joint team of Dhaka RAB-1 and Narsingdi RAB-11 went on an anti-drug operation in that area. In the raid, RAB arrested ‘drug dealer’ Yunus. At that time, Yunus was snatched away by his relatives by attacking the RAB members. Imran’s head and hand were injured by the attackers’ weapons. Police and RAB members are visiting the spot after getting the information. However, no details can be said about this yet.
