The Crime Desk: Today, Tuesday (February 13), is World Radio Day. Like other countries in the world, various programs have been taken to celebrate World Wireless Day with the theme of ‘Wireless in spreading information, entertainment, and education throughout the century’.
On the occasion of the day, President Md. Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave the message.
On this occasion, a colorful rally will be taken out from Bangladesh Betar in Agargaon on Tuesday morning. A discussion meeting will be held on Bangladesh Betar premises in the afternoon. The State Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Muhammad Ali Arafat, will be the chief guest.
The senior secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will be the special guest. Humayun Kabir Khondkar and the officer in charge of the UNESCO Dhaka office. Susan Marie Viz. Bangladesh Betar Director General Rabindrashri Barua will preside. An interesting cultural program will be held in the evening.
Incidentally, the journey of wireless in Bangladesh began on December 16, 1939. World Radio Day has been celebrated in Bangladesh since 2012 under the auspices of the Government Ministry of Information, where Bangladesh Radio, Private FM, and Community Radio are participating.
