Comilla Correspondent: 5 people were killed in a road accident in Daudkandi, Comilla. The accident occurred on Sunday (February 11) around 9:30 a.m. in the Mahananda area of the upazila when a covered van and a CNG-powered autorickshaw collided head-on.
Daudkandi police station OC Mozammel Haque confirmed the truth of the incident and said that a total of five people, including one woman and four men, were killed in the accident. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. The driver of the covered van and his assistant fled soon after the accident and could not be apprehended. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
Daudkandi Fire Service Officer Russell Ahmed said we have recovered four bodies from the scene. One died after being taken to the hospital.
