Entertainment Desk: My favorite team in the World Cup is Spain. Many may think that I have been a supporter of Spain since the time Spain won the World Cup. It is not. I support since childhood. That place will be there for the favorite team. But I don’t think about any team that will have more frenzy. Because I always like the underdog team. I like to play teams that are weak but play well. I want to support them.
When the World Cup comes, I miss the memories of my hometown Shahjahanpur the most. When we were kids, there was a different atmosphere surrounding the football World Cup. Everyone in the building used to gather in one house. Even though everyone has a TV at home, the joy of watching a game together in one room is different.
Another memory I have is that when we were in Dhaka University, there was provision for watching games in the hall. It’s a different, different kind of madness. The feeling of being a kid and watching the game when I grow up will be indelible in my memory.
As mentioned earlier, I have a weakness for underdog teams. That’s why I bet. I have bet many times and won and lost again. But never fought over the game. If for some reason my friend’s team wins, I don’t feel bad watching the celebration.
I played football as a child. But I have played a lot of cricket. But this time we had to play in the field for a long time for the movie ‘Damaal’. It will also be memorable in my life. Some moments of the movie ‘Damaal’ touched me. Entering the field with the national flag of Bangladesh for the first time – it is a moment. The national anthem is playing for the first time and we are clapping our hands on our chests. When I wanted to be a player when I was a child, this scene floated in front of my eyes. The team is singing the national anthem together with their hands on their chests – a wonderful scene! I think every player has a unique feeling at this time. We got that feeling while doing ‘Damaal’.
