The Crime Desk: Today, Thursday, after the darkness of the night, an extraordinary ‘Rajni’ surrounded by great virtue will appear. This Rajni belongs to the glorious Lailatul Meraj. On this night, our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, along with Hazrat Jibraeel alaihissalam, from the Holy Kaaba to the Holy Baytul Muqaddas located in Palestine on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea, passing through the curtain of seventy thousand lights on the seventh day, received the Didar of Allah Almighty on the throne and the order of five daily prayers. He returned to the world and observed the immense mystery of everything in the world of creation. The most exciting event in the life of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was ‘Mi’raj’. Mi’raj is an unforgettable event in the history of Islam and even in the history of Prophethood. Because no prophet other than the greatest human being and Messenger of all times, Hazrat Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, could have this great fortune. And this is why Hazrat Muhammad Rasulullah, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, is the greatest prophet. The best worship of the human race is five times the obligatory prayer on this day of Mi’raj.
With religious solemnity and due dignity, the devout Muslims of this country will also celebrate the holy Shavemeraj today through Qurankhani, Nafal Salat, Zikir Askar, Waj Mahfil, Dua-Darud reading, and special prayers.
The word mi’raj is Arabic, meaning ascent. Journey to heaven. This Meraj means a lot—visiting the seventh heaven, Sidratul Muntaha, Jannat-Jahannah, and traveling to the proximity of Allah Ta’ala by a bow or a distance less than that. This was the great power of Allah Ta’ala, the miraculous signs, a great sign for the truth of Prophethood, advice for the wise, evidence for the believers, guidance, favors, mercy, appearing in the exclusive presence of Allah, the Exalted, gaining accurate knowledge about the upper world, gaining special knowledge about the unseen destiny. , gaining knowledge about this life and the hereafter, witnessing Paradise and Hell with one’s own eyes, meeting and getting to know the previous prophets and messengers, traveling the vast sky, and above all, establishing it as a unique miracle.
Literally, in the last hours of a special night, traveling with Hazrat Muhammad Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Jibraeel (a.s.) from Baitullah to Baitul Muqaddas by Allah’s special mercy, and then passing through the seven heavens through the miraculous stairs to the presence of Allah on the Throne and back to Baitul. The event of going up to Boraq as Muqaddas and returning home to Makkah before dawn is called ‘Mi’raj’.
