Dhaka Bureau: The Managing Director (MD) of Impulse Health Services and Research Center in the capital, Professor Dr. Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) has suspended the registration of Ali Zaheer Al Amin for one year.

BMDC registration number of Ali Zaheer Al Amin is A-12688. He was serving as the managing director of the company for a long time.
Dr. Md. According to the notification signed by Liaquat Hossain, on March 11, 2020, a woman named Momena Haque Moon was admitted to the Tejgaon Center of Impulse Hospital for ear surgery. The 38-year-old woman had a problem in her left ear. But Professor Ali Zaheer performed surgery on the right ear by mistake. By doing this, the shape of the patient’s face becomes crooked. But he gave false information to the patient’s relatives.
Later, Ziaur Rahman Bhuiyan, the patient’s husband, complained about wrong treatment to BMDC. In view of the complaint, BMDC found the truth of the incident after investigating for more than two and a half years. At the same time an explanation was also sought from Ali Zaheer. On October 31, the doctor gave a written reply to the BMDC regarding the complaint of wrong treatment. But BMDC was not satisfied with that.
On the contrary, it is stated that there was substantial negligence and carelessness in the treatment. For this reason, Ali Zaheer’s BMDC registration has been suspended for one year as per Section 23 (1) of the BMDC Act, 2010 (Act No. 61).
