Dhaka Bureau: If there is a major reserve crisis in Bangladesh, China will be there on a priority basis, said Yao Wen, the country’s ambassador in Dhaka.

Regarding the repatriation of the Rohingya, Yao Wen said that China will start the repatriation of the Rohingya only when there is a ceasefire in Myanmar’s Rakhine. Beijing is working for a ceasefire in the ongoing violence in Rakhine. The situation in Myanmar is complicated. The repatriation will begin through the tripartite agreement of the three countries.
Incidentally, in addition to the Chinese ambassador, UN resident coordinator Gwen Lewis and Nepalese ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari met with the foreign minister.
