The Crime Desk: As local government representatives are closest to the people, they get the opportunity to know people’s problems best. A lot of development is possible at the local level if they are serious about solving that problem. Therefore, national development will be accelerated by empowering the people’s representatives during this regime of government. However, in cases of irregularities, the public representatives will be brought under appropriate accountability.

Minister of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives. Tajul Islam said these things in an exchange meeting with different levels of Upazila Awami League leaders at his home in Manoharganj’s Pomgaon on Saturday.

At that time, the minister thanked him for voting on the boat symbol in the election and said that numerous infrastructure developments, including roads, schools, and colleges in Laksam Manoharganj, have been made possible due to voting on the boat symbol.

As an elected public representative, he wishes to fulfill the wishes of the people of Laksam Manoharganj in the future.

The Local Government Minister mentioned the domestic and foreign conspiracies regarding the 12th National Assembly elections and said that many attempts have been made to thwart the elections, but the people of Bangladesh, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, have stopped all conspiracies. He mentioned that the people of the country are enjoying the benefits of a stable government system.

Minister Laksam also said that the development of Manoharganj will be identified where there is a deficiency, and the project will be taken after discussing it with everyone. He also mentioned that necessary measures will be taken so that the people of this constituency get good governance and justice. The minister also warned that any irregularity would not be tolerated.

He asked for prayers from the people of the area so that he could keep the trust that the Prime Minister has placed in the responsibility of a large ministry like the local government ministry for the second time in a row.

At the end of the exchange meeting, the Minister received warm greetings from Manoharganj Upazila Awami League, Jubo League, Swachhasebak League, Mahila League, Chhatra League, and various local organizations as he became the minister in charge of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives for the second consecutive time.
