CU representative: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has written to the Chittagong University authorities seeking an explanation for advertising in newspapers congratulating the Minister of Education and the Minister of External Affairs.
On Wednesday (January 17), when the matter came to the notice, the UGC asked to know ‘from which sector the advertisement expenditure should be executed’.
Deputy Director of the Public University Management Department of UGC. In the letter signed by Golam Dastgir, it is said that this advertisement has been published in how many newspapers and from which sector it will be spent; it is requested to give the information.
At the same time, the UGC has requested, in a letter, to send the statement of the university authorities within the next 5 working days.
Before this, it is said in the Vice Chancellor’s congratulations and greetings printed in the newspaper that Bir Chattla’s two accomplished children.
