Dhaka Bureau: World Ijtema will be held in two phases on February 2-4 and February 9-11. The police will provide three-dimensional security for the security of this Ijtema. Security will be ensured in three places: land, water, and air. Such a decision was taken in a meeting regarding overall security and the law and order of Ijtema.

The meeting was held in the afternoon of Wednesday (January 17) at the Hall of Pride of Police Headquarters under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.

The IGP said that all preparations have been made to conduct the upcoming World Ijtema peacefully and safely. With the joint efforts of all, the safety of the pilgrims coming to Ijtema will be ensured. The IGP called for the successful completion of the Ijtema to be held in two phases by maintaining mutual cordial relations between the organizers of the two sides and organizing the Ijtema through coordination.

Leaders of both sides of Tabligh present in the meeting also expressed their satisfaction with the overall security management adopted around the Ijtema. In the meeting, Additional DIG (Operations) Nasian Wazed outlined the overall security plan of Ijtema. At this time, the Uttara Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) presented Ijtema security and traffic management plans. There will be the deployment of uniformed and plainclothed police, bomb disposal units, dog squads, naval patrols, teams trained in explosives, and RAB helicopter patrols in the air for the security of the premises.
