Dhaka Bureau: Health Minister Professor Dr. Samant Lal Sen said that one of the problems in the Ministry of Health is corruption. We will have zero tolerance on this issue.
He said, I will try to provide medical services to marginalized people. If you can do this, you will not have to take treatment lying on the floor in Dhaka city.
On Sunday (January 14) at the secretariat, the minister told reporters about such experiences on the first day.
The health minister said nothing is impossible if we all work sincerely. I had a lot of trouble coming up with five to five hundred beds (burn units). I’ve been to many firsts. I’ve had many people reject me and throw away files; there are cases like that too. But I have reached this place with patience and everyone’s support.
He further said, I will go to every hospital. I will know what the problem is. Then I will make an action plan.
At that time, the minister said to the officials of the ministry, ‘I request all of you, those who are in this ministry and those who are outside, to come to my office at any time. There will be no protocol at my door for you. I will remain as before. Give me some advice. If we get your advice, we will be able to work as scheduled.
In response to a question from journalists, the minister said that opening a medical college is not necessary. There will be many things, including doctors. I will look into all matters. We need to find out the reason why there are no doctors in the village. Talk to them too. I will take action after seeing everything.
