Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is going to Faridpur today to attend an election rally in Faridpur focusing on the 12th National Assembly elections. Party leaders in the district are excited about his arrival. All the preparations have already been completed, including the venue of the Government Rajendra College grounds. Here he will address the election rally today (January 2) around 3 p.m.
Faridpur District Awami League Joint General Secretary Amitabh Bose confirmed the matter.
Amitabh Bose said,The Prime Minister is our man. Faridpur is his district. He will come to his district, which is a great gain for us. We don’t need to ask him for our development. The leader knows very well what Faridpur has to offer. We are working towards his victory. If he becomes the prime minister again, unprecedented development will be achieved in the region.
He said that the district Awami League is expecting a total of 100,000 people to gather on the road and surrounding areas, along with 50,000 people, on the occasion of the leader’s public meeting.
According to district Awami League sources, Faridpur district Awami League president and Awami League nominated candidate of Faridpur-3 (Sadar) constituency Shamim Haque will preside over this public meeting today. Apart from this, Awami League nominated candidate of Faridpur-1 (Boalmari, Alfadanga, and Madhukhali) Abdur Rahman, Awami League candidate of Faridpur-2 (Nagarkanda and Saltha) constituency Shahdab Akbar, and Awami League candidate of Faridpur-4 (Bhanga, Sadarpur, and Charbhadrasan) constituency and Awami League Election Management Committee Co-Chairman Kazi Zafarullah will be present.
