Dhaka Bureau: Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) student Fardin Noor Parsh, arrested in connection with the death of his girlfriend, Amatullah Bushra, DB Police requested to be detained in jail.
On Wednesday (November 16), the investigation officer of the case, Police Inspector Mojibur Rahman of the Khilgaon Zonal Team of the DB Police, after the 5-day remand, presented Bushra to the court and applied for detention in jail. A hearing will be held in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court at around 2 pm.
On November 10, the court granted Bushra’s 5-day remand.
It is to be noted that the naval police recovered the body of Fardin from Shitalakshya river in Narayanganj on the night of November 7, three days after his disappearance. Later taken to hospital for autopsy. The doctors said that numerous injury marks were found on his body.
On the night of November 9, his father Nur Uddin Rana filed a case at Rampura police station as the plaintiff in the murder of Fardin. In the case, the victim’s girlfriend, a university student, Bushra, and some other unknown persons were accused.
