Dhaka Bureau: The Awami League will announce the Smart Bangladesh Smart Manifesto on the occasion of the upcoming 12th National Parliament Election. Party president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will announce the election manifesto at Hotel Sonargaon in the capital on Wednesday (December 27) at 10:30 a.m.

The members of the manifesto preparation committee said that after the implementation of Digital Bangladesh as promised, the manifesto for the upcoming elections has been prepared with emphasis on special measures to prevent corruption, product price control, and good governance of the financial sector with the aim of building a smart Bangladesh.

Convener of the manifesto drafting committee and member of the presidium of the Awami League. Abdur Razzak said that the manifesto of the Awami League is not just a party manifesto. In a real sense, it is the manifesto of the entire nation.

What the people of the country expect from the Awami League in the upcoming elections is very important to the Awami League. Before this, the Awami League had fully fulfilled its promises to the nation in each of its election manifestos. Not only that, the Awami League has created a roadmap for long-term development beyond the specific term of the government in each manifesto. All of these have been implemented very smoothly. This time, the election manifesto will also be smart and mass-oriented.

Member Secretary of the Manifesto Committee and Information and Research Secretary of the Awami League, Salim Mahmud, said, ‘The main theme of this year’s manifesto is the construction of ‘Smart Bangladesh’. Besides, how to attract young voters has dominated the manifesto. Agriculture, service, economic, and industrial production sectors have also gained importance. The fundamental rights of third-gender people will also be ensured. To make Bangladesh a developed country by 2041, the implementation of the Prime Minister’s target has been included in the manifesto.

Incidentally, Awami League presidium member Abdur Razzak convened the 25-member manifesto drafting committee on September 28. The final manifesto was prepared from the draft prepared by the committee under the guidance of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina. Before this, the slogan of the Awami League’s manifesto in the 2008 national elections containing the outline of the formation of Digital Bangladesh was ‘Certificate of Change’. Then, in 2014, the 10th National Parliament election was ‘Bangladesh is moving forward’. In the 2018 eleventh national election, the slogan of the party that led the liberation war was ‘Bangladesh on the march of prosperity’.
