This information has been presented by analyzing the affidavits of the candidates given to the Election Commission in the ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth elections. Touhidul Islam, the head of the three-member research team, presented the documentary. The other two members were Rifat Rahman and Rafiqul Islam.
Tauhidul Islam said that 1896 people are participating in the twelfth election. Among them, independent candidates are 18 percent. And party candidates are 82 percent. 18 people have property worth more than 100 crore rupees.
The chief guest of the program is the executive director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). Iftekharuzzaman. TIB Chairperson Sultana Kamal and Sumaiya Khair were present at the press conference.
