Patuakhali Correspondent: RAB Director General M. Khursheed Hossain said RAB is ready to face any challenge centered on the 12th National Assembly elections. RAB, along with other law and order forces, will also play a strict role in the field for the peaceful completion of elections.
On Monday (December 25) around 11:30 a.m., he said this in response to journalists’ questions after distributing blankets among the poor people of Ward No. 3 of Kuakata Town in Patuakhali District.
Khurshid Hossain said that there are no illegal weapons in the country like before. So you have seen a little less of a campaign. But the operation of the RAB is going on to recover illegal weapons from the election center.
He also said that RAB is working to establish zero tolerance for the Prime Minister in controlling militancy, terrorism, and drugs. A few days ago, 314 extremists surrendered before the Home Minister in Sirajganj through us. We helped them with their resettlement by giving 1 lakh rupees from the Prime Minister’s relief fund. RAB played a major role in freeing Sundarban pirates. Those who surrendered in the Sundarbans have also been helped in rehabilitation. We do some humanitarian work as well as counterterrorism. In continuation of that, winter clothes have been given to more than two hundred poor people.
Senior RAB officials, including Kuakata Tourist Police Police Inspector Hasnain Parvez and former councilor of Kuakata Municipal Council Shah Alam, were present. Prior to this yesterday, RAB Director General came to Kuaktay and spent the night.
