haka Bureau: The Election Commission (EC) has directed the Ministry of Public Administration to declare a general holiday on the day of polling on the occasion of the 12th National Assembly elections. On Sunday (December 24), Deputy Secretary of EC. Atiyar Rahman sent a letter in this regard to the senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.
It is said in the letter that the 12th National Parliament election will be held on January 7. On the occasion of the said election, it is necessary to declare a general holiday all over the country on the day of polling, i.e., Sunday, January 7th. In this situation, it is requested to take the necessary measures to declare the polling day, i.e., January 7, as a general holiday.
Cabinet Division Secretaries, Principal Secretaries of Prime Minister’s Office, Senior Secretaries of all Ministries, Inspector General of Police, Director General of Ansar and VDP/RAB/Coast Guard, Director General of NID, Additional Secretaries of EC, All Divisional Commissioners, All DIGs, All Metropolitan Police Commissioners, All Joint Secretaries of EC, and Electoral EC sent copies of the letter to the Director General of Training Institute.
