Nagar Reporter: One person was killed by a speeding private car in the Ghat area adjacent to Charpara on Ring Road on Tuesday evening. The name of the deceased is Salahuddin (30).
His village home is in Mirsarai, Chittagong. The deceased’s father’s name is Sahabuddin, and his mother’s name is Ayesha Begum. Salahuddin was working on lighter ships in the Patenga area.
According to eyewitness sources, Salahuddin was hit by a speeding private car (Chattmetro-G 12-4063) while crossing the road in the Ghat area adjacent to Charpara around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
He died on the spot. After receiving the information, Patenga Thana police quickly reached the spot and recovered the body. Later, the private car involved in the incident was identified, and a case was filed against the driver.
Md. Kabirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Patenga Police Station, told the media that a case has been filed against the driver of the pedestrian who was hit by a private car. After identifying the private car involved in the incident, the police are trying to arrest the car and identify its driver.
