Dhaka Bureau: On the occasion of Great Victory Day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended a reception organized by the President at Bangabhaban. On Saturday, December 16, around 4 p.m., he attended the function organized at the green square of Banga Bhavan.
At this time, President Mohammad Sahabuddin welcomed the guests, including the Prime Minister. Later, he exchanged pleasantries with the Prime Minister.
Besides, the Speaker of the National Parliament, Chief Justice, Cabinet members, Prime Minister’s Advisors, Supreme Court Justices, Members of Parliament, Ambassadors, and High Commissioners of various countries attended the event.
Eminent citizens, including three army chiefs and military and civil officers, also participated in the reception. Later, the President and Prime Minister cut the Victory Day cake. Later, national artists performed patriotic music on the green square of Banga Bhavan.
Earlier, the Prime Minister released commemorative postage stamps, opening envelopes, and seals issued on the occasion of Victory Day at Ganabhaban. Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak and many others were present at this time.
Besides, at 7:35 a.m. on the same day, Sheikh Hasina, first by herself and later with party leaders, laid wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation in front of the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32.
