Correspondent: Tofail Ahmad Ismam (17) died in a road accident in South Chittagong’s Lohagara. Another student of the same madrasa was injured in the incident.
The accident took place on the south side of Battali Motor Station in Lohagara Upazila Sadar, in front of a private hospital on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway. Thursday, December 7, at 10:30 p.m. The deceased is the son of Abdul Quddus of Saudagar Para of Paschim Kalauzan village of Ismam upazila and a 2024 Dakhil candidate of Adhunagar Islamia Madrasa of the upazila.
It is known that when he left the madrasa with a friend on a motorcycle and reached the spot towards Chittagong city while overtaking a CNG-driven autorickshaw in the same direction, he collided head-on with a Noah service vehicle. The motorcyclists were seriously injured.
After the accident, the student died on the way to Chittagong Medical College Hospital after receiving first aid at a private hospital in Upazila Sadar.
