Satkania Correspondent: It has been alleged that an Emirati expatriate family has been repeatedly physically assaulted and threatened with death over a land dispute in Satkania. As a result, the expatriate family is currently suffering from extreme insecurity. In this regard, complaints have been made to various departments including the police station administration, but no solution has been found yet. Recently, expatriate Mohiuddin told the journalists about this complaint through a local press conference.

Expatriate Mohammad Mohiuddin said in a written statement, “I have a 20th century land that I bought and got from Moorish sources in Gwajarpara area of Ward No. 9 of Satkania municipality. A few people, including Zahedul Islam, Vice President of Satkania Municipality Jubo League, have forcibly occupied almost 10 centuries of my land. They beat my mother and brother for obstructing and protesting in this regard.

Mohammad Mohiuddin also said that last March, Jubo League leader Zaheed and his followers cut trees worth five lakh rupees from my land. A written complaint has already been submitted to the office of the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, regarding land encroachment and tree cutting. After knowing about this, Zaheed along with his followers are threatening my relatives.

Even after telling the OC of Satkania police station many times, he did not take any action. On the contrary, he says that he went to the court to end the beating about the land.
