Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Miscreants killed a Rohingya leader (former Head Majhi) named Ataullah in the Ukhia Rohingya Camp of Cox’s Bazar.
The murder took place at Camp-19, A/8 Block of Palongkhali in the upazila, around 8 a.m. on Saturday. The deceased Ataullah is the son of the deceased Jalal Ahmad of the A/1 block of that camp.
The OC of the Ukhia police station confirmed the murder. Shamim Hossain.
He said that in the Rohingya camp, the miscreants of the terrorist group Arsa ran away after fatally injuring the former head, Majhi Ataullah, on the street near Yashin Johar’s shop in Camp 19, Block A/8. Later, nearby Rohingyas took him to the Ukhia Upazila Health Complex, where he was seriously injured, and the doctor declared him dead.
The OC also said that his body has been sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem after preparing the condition report. At present, the law-and-order situation is normal.
It should be noted that at least half a hundred Rohingya leaders, deputy leaders, and ordinary Rohingyas have been killed before. The camp residents claimed that these killings are taking place by the dominant center to take control of various immoral businesses, including drugs.
