Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: There was a shooting incident between Myanmar’s armed terrorist organization, the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), and the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO), over the Rohingya camp in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. A Rohingya named Syed Amin was killed in this incident.

The incident took place in the middle of DOC Block of Rohingya Camp No. 3 of Rajapalang Union of Upazila at around 8 p.m. on Sunday (November 19). The deceased youth was a resident of the B block of the camp.

Officer-in-charge of the Ukhia police station. Shamim Hossain said that this incident happened due to the spread of dominance in the camp. On Sunday night, the terrorist groups Arsa and RSO clashed with firearms in C and D Block of Rohingya Camp No. 3 of Ukhiya Rajapalong Union. This resulted in intermittent firing between the two sides. There, a common Rohingya named Syed Amin was shot and died on the spot.

He also said that the murder was reported to have taken place in a clash between two terrorist groups of Rohingyas based primarily on the spread of dominance. Still, inquiries are being made about who and what caused this incident.

He also said that the body was recovered and sent to Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. The situation in the camp is normal.
