Dhaka Bureau: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached Narsingdi after 19 years to inaugurate 11 projects. He is scheduled to attend a public meeting there.
He reached Narsingdi around noon on Sunday (November 12). He will inaugurate 11 development projects worth about 16 thousand crore rupees there. Ghorashal-Palash Urea Fertilizer Factory is one of them.
After inaugurating the Urea Fertilizer Factory in Palash, the Prime Minister will address a special gathering. After that, at 2.30 pm, Narsingdi will participate in the midday feast at Circuit House. In the afternoon, Narsingdi will inaugurate the remaining 10 development projects built online at the cost of 47 crore, 14 lakh, 69 thousand, and 126 taka sitting at Mosleh Uddin Stadium.
Then in the afternoon, he will attend the public meeting at Mosleh Uddin Stadium in the district.
After 19 years, the entire district has been covered in security blankets due to the Prime Minister’s visit to Narsingdi. About 10,000 members of the law and order forces, including the SSF, RAB, and police, are already stationed in Narsingdi to provide security to the Prime Minister. CCTV cameras have been installed for security in the stadium and surrounding areas, Ghorashal in Palash, and the Urea Fertilizer Factory in Palash. Suspicious vehicles and people are being searched at the entrances.
According to district Awami League sources, the mood of the festival is centered on the public meeting in the entire district.
District Awami League president GM Taleb Hossain said that there is a festive atmosphere in the entire district to welcome the Prime Minister. Forgetting all differences and insults, a different kind of enthusiasm is working among the people of Narsingdi, along with the party leaders and workers.
