Dhaka Bureau: A total of 146 services of offices and organizations under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, including 27 services under the citizen charter, have been digitized and added to the MyGov platform.
Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastgir Gazi, Veer Pratik, MP, attended the opening ceremony of Textile and Jute Ministry services on the MyGov platform in the conference room of the Textile and Jute Ministry at the Secretariat today (Tuesday). The ceremony was conducted by the Secretary of the Textile and Jute Ministry, Md. Abdur Rauf. At this time, officials related to the project of A2I, heads of departmental organizations under the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, and officials of all levels of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute were present.
In the opening speech, the minister said that today, including the 27 citizen-chartered services of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, a total of 146 services of the department or organization have been digitized, and the services have been added to the MyGov platform so that all services can be accessed from one platform. It is really a pleasure.
He said that the MyGov app was inaugurated in 2020 by the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu, with the slogan ‘Contribution to Digital Bangladesh, All Solutions at One Address’. The great father of independent Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali nation father of all time, brought independence to the country, and his daughter Sheikh Hasina transformed the country into a developing state. His aim is to establish Bangladesh as a developed, rich, and smart state by 2041.
He expressed hope that all civic services should be provided online without any harassment in order to establish a smart country. He said that the Ministry of Textiles and Jute will continue to play an important role in making the country a smart Bangladesh by utilizing the policies and plans adopted by the government.
He also said that with the aim of implementing ‘Government services in hand’, the government services under the supervision of A2I and the Cabinet Department have launched the program of using the ‘MyGov’ platform for the relevant stakeholders. By using this ‘MyGov’ platform, the stakeholders can apply online for the respective services and avail themselves of them.
