Entertainment Desk: ‘Meghna Kanya’ was made with the story of breaking the shackles of two women in the village and the city focusing on women trafficking. The film’s producer, Fuad Chowdhury, said that the film is being released all over the country on November 17.
According to the makers, the story of the film, set in a rural background with a tough subject like women trafficking, has enough entertainment for the audience. A dream-fulfillment story is told through two women from different backgrounds facing various social barriers on screen.
Kazi Nowshaba Ahmed, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shatabdi Wadud, Semanti Das Soumi, Sajjad Hossain, and many others have played important roles in it. Its music is composed by the famous Sharmin Sultana Sumi. The screenplay and dialogue of the film are written by Fahmidur Rahman and Ahmed Khan Hirak.
Produced by Anwar Azad Film’s and SJ Motion Pictures, the film is co-produced by Switzerland and television partner Deepta TV.
Earlier, the film was screened on October 15 at a local multiplex in Toronto, Canada. This started the process of opening the movie to the world.
