The protestors said that the railway junction is an important railway station. For a long time, Sundarban and Benapole Express trains used to run to Dhaka via Bheramara station. Hundreds of people from Bheramara, Mirpur, and Daulatpur upazilas used to travel by train every day. The railway authorities have announced the cancellation of the Bheramara line in order to change the route and run the two trains through the Padma bridge. Due to this, the train passengers in this region have suffered a lot. They cannot go to Dhaka easily on these trains. A new inter-city train from Bheramara to Dhaka should be arranged. Otherwise, there will be poor movement.
Pakshi Divisional Railway Manager Shah Sufi Noor Mohammad said, “According to the government decision, these two trains are plying through Padma Bridge. As a result, there is no opportunity for this train to run on the Bheramara route.
