The Crime Desk: The Meteorological Department has said that a maximum wind speed of 60 km per hour may blow over seven regions of the country.
This information was announced in a special notification on Monday (October 23).
According to the notification, over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, and Cox’s Bazar regions, 45–60 km per hour from an east–northeast direction Rain or thundershowers with gusty winds may occur at times. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, the special notification No. 4 in the weather said that the deep depression located in the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas is moving northward and staying in the same area. It was 890 km west-southwest of Chittagong seaport, 845 km west-southwest of Cox’s Bazar seaport, 760 km southwest of Mongla seaport, and 760 km southwest of Payra seaport on Sunday midnight (October 22). It may move further north and intensify.
Maximum sustained wind speed is 50 km/h within 48 km of the deep depression center, increasing to 60 km/h in gusty or gusty forms. Oceans are rough in the vicinity of deep depressions.
Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra sea ports have been asked to display remote warning signal number 1.
