According to the report, 172 people were killed and 107 were injured in 153 motorcycle accidents. Which is 38.5 percent of the total accidents, 42.78 percent of the dead, and 26.61 percent of the injured.
Most road accidents have been organized in Dhaka division this month. 118 people were killed and 112 injured in 114 road accidents. The least number of road accidents were organized in Sylhet division, where 29 people were killed and 106 injured in 25 road accidents.
This information has emerged in the monitoring report of the Accident Monitoring Cell of the Bangladesh Passenger Welfare Association.
Among the persons injured in the road accident are 10 members of law and order forces, 143 drivers, 66 pedestrians, 60 transport workers, 65 students, 8 teachers, 74 women, 44 children, 2 journalists, 2 doctors, 3 heroic freedom fighters, and 10 leaders and activists of different political parties.
Among them were 2 policemen, 1 BGB member, 1 army member, 1 navy member, 2 doctors, 3 brave freedom fighters, 2 journalists, 107 drivers of various transports, 58 pedestrians, 43 women, 34 children, 28 students, 12 transport workers, 8 teachers, and 7 leaders and workers of different political parties.
