Stolen CNG from Lohagara was recovered in Banskhali

Own Correspondent: A CNG-powered autorickshaw stolen from Lohagara in South Chittagong was found on the side of the road in the Ramdasha Munsihat area of Banskhali upazila. The police of the Chunti police outpost under Lohagara police station recovered the vehicle on Tuesday, October 3, at 4 p.m. Meanwhile, the police arrested three people in the car theft incident. The officer in charge of Lohagara police station, Md. Rashedul Islam, said that the car was recovered based on a tip-off.

According to sources, the CNG-powered autorickshaw was stolen from the Chunati Sirtunnabi (S.) Mahfil of Lohagara Upazila on Monday, October 2, at 8 p.m. Driver Abul Kashem, a resident of Nalarkul area of Putibila union of the upazila, went to the mahfil with passengers in the said autorickshaw. The autorickshaw was stolen shortly after. The officer in charge of Lohagara police station was informed about the theft immediately. The car rescue operation started immediately.

Finally rescued within 24 hours by SI Jalal Uddin Sangeet of the Chunti police outpost with force. Three people were arrested there. The three people arrested were trying to sell the car to others in the Banskhali area. Among those arrested are Shahadat Hossain (29) son of deceased Bujurush Mia of Charamba Dighi area of Charamba Union of Lohagara Upazila, Morshed (24) son of deceased Abdul Quader of Dhalibila area of Padua Union, and Russell (26) son of Amir Hossain. In this regard, a regular case has been registered at Lohagara police station.
