Own Correspondent: A human chain was formed in the M. Char Hat area of Lohagara Upazila in South Chittagong against the publication of false and baseless news related to hill cutting in three daily newspapers.
This human chain was organized under the banner of the Awami League in Ward No. 3 of Putibila Union on Tuesday, October 3. It has been said in the human chain that there is no truth or proof of the news that has been printed against Didarul Alam, the son of a heroic freedom fighter and the local Awami League leader, in connection with the hill cutting. He is a victim of political vendettas. The participants in the human chain strongly protested and condemned it.
Freedom fighter Abdul Chalam, Joint Secretary of Putibila Union Awami League Noor Hossain, and hundreds of local Awami League leaders and dignitaries participated in this human chain.
Didarul Alam said that no soil was cut from the hill here. He is not involved in any way with cutting the soil. The news printed against him is not correct. Awami League leader Noor Hossain said that the place from which the accusation of soil cutting has been made is not even a hill. The place is privately owned by Dakshin Putibila Mauza and belongs to the BS Khatianbhukt Nal, Barivita, and Bagan categories.
