City Reporter: A seven-year-old child was allegedly strangled to death after ‘rape’ after entering the house. Police arrested one person in this incident. The incident took place on Sunday morning at the Moulvi Pond area of Chandgaon police station in the city.
The deceased is Tanha Akhter Maria of Noakhali’s Ramgati Upazila Alexander Ramdayal village. Baker Hossain’s daughter He studied in the first grade of the local primary school. His mother, Najma Akhtar, is a garment factory worker.
Baker Hossain said that his wife left for work at 7:30 in the morning. He also left the house at half past eight, leaving his daughter at home. Around 9 a.m., a neighbor woman reported that her daughter’s body was found in the house.
He went home and found the girl’s body lying on the bed. There are injury marks on the neck, arms, and legs. SI Riyadus Salehin of the Chandgaon police station said that the body of the child was recovered after getting information.
The child’s body has been kept at the morgue for post-mortem. After getting the autopsy report, the matter of rape will be known. And with the help of locals, a youth has been arrested. Locals alleged that the child was strangled to death after being raped.
