Dhaka Bureau: Various discussions and criticisms are going on around the incident of beating two Central Chhatra League leaders by taking them to Shahbag police station. Basically, the incident started with the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADC), Sanjida Afrin Nipa. It is known that Sanjida Afrin Nipa is the daughter of M. Hossain Ali of the Nagda Shimla Union of Gopalpur Upazila of Tangail. This officer of the 31 BCS batch is working as the Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (ADC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Crime Department.
She is the wife of Azizul Haque, Assistant Private Secretary (APS) to the President. Her elder sister is a doctor by profession. He was in the Special Branch of the police from May 5, 2016 to January 7, 2021. Later, Sanjida was working as an ASP in Gazipur Sadar Circle from May 6, 2021, to November 7, 2022. He joined DMP on November 13, 2022. Narrating the incident of that day, ADC Sanjida told the media that the fiction of my marriage with Harun sir is being propagated.
I have no personal relationship with Haroon, sir. He is only my colleague. Saturday night, I went to Bardem Hospital for treatment. I took ADC Aaron’s support only for Doctor Serial. Haroon came there and arranged for me to get the doctor’s serial. There, he (Aaron) was beaten. I did not see the attack happen while I was in the ECG room. Incidentally, on the night of September 9, there were allegations of torture of two central leaders of the Chhatra League at the Shahbag police station in the capital.
The victims are Chhatra League’s Central Organizing Secretary, Fazlul Haque Hall President Anwar Hossain, Chhatra League’s Central Scientific Affairs Secretary, and Dhaka University’s Shahidullah Hall General Secretary Sharif Ahmed.
