Dhaka Bureau: The punishment of teacher Abu Sufian of the Bashundhara branch of Vikarunnisa Noon School and College has been demanded for sexual harassment of a student. One day, Abu Sufyan’s SMS came on his daughter’s mobile phone. I was shocked and dumbfounded by the language of that SMS. It seemed that I was not in this world—so vulgar, offensive language! I didn’t know what to do. At this time, the victim’s mother cried for a while.
He wants teacher Abu Sufyan to be severely punished. The student’s mother said that Abu Sufyan threatened us for complaining to the divisional commissioner. He said, ‘Nothing will happen to him by making these complaints. There have been such troubles before. If anything happens this time, I will commit suicide. The present teacher told the investigating officer that there had been many complaints against him earlier. I could not protest for various reasons. We demand that you take all necessary steps to maintain the school environment.
The accused teacher, Abu Sufian, claimed to the investigating officer that he was framed by conspiracy. A group of teachers is conspiring to remove him from that branch. When asked for a statement on the matter, Vikarunnisa Noon School and College Principal (Acting) Keka Roy Chowdhury said that the matter is under investigation and it is forbidden to talk about it now.
