City Reporter: A landslide has occurred in the Panchlaish Thana area of Chittagong city. A father and a seven-month-old baby died. The accident took place in the IW Colony of Sholashar in the early hours of Sunday (August 27). The deceased are Md. Sohail (33) and his daughter, Bibi Jannat.
Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Hospital Police Outpost SI Nurul Alam Ashek confirmed the matter. He said that at 7:30 in the morning, two seriously injured people were brought to the hospital, and the doctor on duty declared them dead. Meanwhile, it was reported from the fire service control room that a mountain had collapsed in the Sholshahar area.
When some people were trapped in it, the locals rescued them and sent them to the hospital. However, none of the firefighters went to the rescue operation.
